01 – The Terraces

The first thing you see.
The part you remember.

The double terraces above Papa's Creek can hold the moments your guests experience together, from the ceremony and first conversations to dinner, dancing, and time beneath the open sky. The observation deck gives you a view across it all. Photographs show the setting. Standing here helps you picture your own people inside it.

02 – The Wagon Road & The Creek

A farm with a long memory.

Long before asphalt roads or interstates, the old wagon road carried the people and goods that helped build this community. The road is no longer traveled and the bridge no longer stands, but their foundations remain written into the land. You can still trace the earthen roadbed and the raised approaches on both sides of Papa's Creek. Today, the road brings your guests together here, to a place that feels outside of time, where they can slow down, share something meaningful, and strengthen the community surrounding your event.

03 – The Green Space

Room to breathe.
Room to grow.

The creekside green space is more than overflow. It gives the property room to grow with your event, from an intimate gathering to a much larger celebration extending across the green, terraces, and indoor room. It can become a ceremony near the water, a place for guests to gather outdoors, or a natural transition into the reception. The bridge and pergola coming soon will give the space an additional anchor point.

04 – The Red Oak & The Holly

The trees that were here before us.

The red oak with its rope swing and the towering holly beside it bring shade, scale, and a sense of permanence to the creekside. They are part of what makes time here feel settled, unhurried, and unmistakably of this place.

05 – The Ferris Wheel

A family story still standing.

The eight-seat Ferris wheel belonged to Marie's grandfather and was originally turned by hand. Later, her uncles motorized it, a delightfully ridiculous chapter in its history. Passed down through generations, it now stands as part of The Shed's family story.

06 – The Bridal Suite

Getting ready should feel like part of the day.

In its own small building just steps from the main event room, the bridal suite has a private deck, climate control, a large lighted mirror, and space to settle in together. Getting ready is not simply preparation for the wedding. It is part of the day, with its own conversations, photographs, and moments worth remembering.

07 – The Porch

See how the whole day fits together.

The wide porch overlooks both terraces, with double sliding doors reclaimed from a Hartwell farm behind you. From here, you can picture the ceremony, reception, creekside time, and how your guests move between them – all connected in one view.

08 – Inside The Shed

A room that came from somewhere real.

Marie usually asks what people think the chandelier is made from. Nobody guesses right. It is two tiers of barbed wire from this farm, rusted and shaped by hand above your reception. The quarter-sawn oak walls were cut here by Marie's brother on a 100-year-old mill saw. The front wall is clad in reclaimed teak from the conveyor system of an old cotton plant. Every surface carries a story from somewhere real.

09 – The Antiques

A history collected over generations.

The pieces lining the upper shelves came from family, from the land, and from people who used them long before they arrived here. Nothing was selected to imitate history. Together, they give your event a setting that feels collected over generations rather than assembled for a trend.

10 – The Kitchen

The infrastructure that makes the day run.

Industrial ice machine. Double oven. Refrigerator. Two sinks. And an 18-foot stainless-steel serving table that gives your caterer room to prepare and serve efficiently. The kitchen rarely appears in photographs, but it helps the event move smoothly behind the scenes.

11 – The Table

This is where it gets personal.

Before you leave, you'll sit down with Marie, often at a table styled around the colors or ideas you've shared. This is where your event begins to come into focus: what you want guests to remember, who matters most, and how the property could support that story. You do not need every answer. The conversation helps reveal what fits, what is missing, and the clearest next step.
