We Ask This First
Years from now, your guests may not remember which linen you chose. They will remember how the experience felt and the moment they still talk about. That answer gives every later choice a job.
You do not need a finished theme. Choose the closest starting point below, then change the words until they sound like you.
A rough answer is useful. Marie can help draw it out further if that is the part you need.
The Basics
None of this is about boxing you in. It's what lets everything else fit the day you're actually having. A gathering of thirty gets built differently than one with two hundred, and a relaxed weekday retreat calls for a different setting than a formal Saturday evening.
Weekdays and weekends both work here, including Saturdays. We'll confirm what's open.

The setting shapes the mood before a single word is spoken. A room feels different than open grass by the creek. Think about what kind of backdrop matches the feeling you named above.
The Shed is not a blank room. Its timber, chandelier, terraces, arches, and collected farm details already establish the feeling. Set is how we work with that character, not erase it, through furniture placement, tablecloth and runner treatments, tablescapes, ceremony pieces, color, texture, and lighting. Simple can still be deeply intentional; you should not have to rebuild the venue to make it yours.
Catering, florals, a photographer: the people outside our walls who help carry the day. Bring the people you already trust, or ask Marie for local options she knows. Your planner and vendors own the live event; The Shed quietly helps them understand the property and the setting they are working within.
If your story runs longer than a single day, where people sleep starts to matter. Staying on the property keeps the story going after the lights come down: the late conversation, the next morning together, instead of everyone scattering to a hotel.
Every story is built around a moment you want people to remember for years to come. But a moment like that needs something to hang on: a catalyst that pulls everyone together, that pulls out the gut-busting laughs, or the quiet, joyful tears.
Adventures and Excursions are those extra moments. The little things that make room for the big ones to actually happen.
